Roving eyes has discovered a development which indicates that George Egu has been paid by Chief Jerry Chukwueke, a governorship aspirants from Owerri Zone, to destabilize Okigwe Zone ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Okigwe Zone is making a strong case to produce the next governor in the 2027 governorship election.
Recently, the leaders of Okigwe Zone met and resolved that power should shift to the zone in 2027, but George Egu appears to now pose a threat to the collective Okigwe agenda and now takes instructions from governorship aspirants from Owerri Zone to work against the Okigwe interest.
On Wednesday, the mighty hand of God forced Jerry Chukwueke to post an evidence of a transfer of N350,000 to Egu on his WhatsApp status, to the shock of many.
Egu is a former Special Adviser on Political Affairs, former Commissioner for Information, former Special Adviser on Security (Okigwe Zone), and Secretary of the Imo PDP. He hails from Onicha, Uboma in Ihitte-Uboma in Okigwe Zone but he has sold himself to aspirants from Owerri Zone for his own personal Interests.
Roving eyes also gathered from impeccable sources that, in what looks weird, Egu is said to be coordinating two governorship aspirants from Owerri Zone, Jerry Chukwueke and Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi.
Roving eyes also gathered that the Senator had discovered the double dealings when Egu visited him in Abuja, a situation that forced the Senator to abandon him in a hotel where he was lodged.
It was said that it took the good interventions of some close friends to get some money from the Senator to enable Egu to return home.
“But Egu is a human being after all and he is entitled to his beliefs and associations. What he is doing may be against Okigwe’s collective dream but he did not commit a crime,” said Engr. Amaechi Christian, who said he is also from Ihitte-Uboma.
